Tiki torches are lanterns with a fuel reservoir and a wick on top of decorative poles.  The poles are normally about five feet in height.  These torches are usually placed along walkways, gardens, patios, or pools.  Some people use them for tropical themed events, luaus, or bar-b-ques.  You can get them in a variety of styles and sizes at home improvement stores and through online distributors.  The most common style of tiki torch is the bamboo model.  This inexpensive model has a bamboo pole with a woven holder housing a plastic bottle that is filled with fuel.  The lid of the bottle holds the wick of the torch.

The larger models of bamboo or cane tiki torches have a pole that is hollow.  This pole is designed to be pushed down into the earth.   Sometimes though, the top reservoir can be heavy causing the torch to blow over in strong wind.  To prevent this from happening, it is recommended that you use some PVC tubing to secure the torch.  You can do this by purchasing PVC tube that is slightly larger than the pole of your torch.  Dig a hole to fit the tube.  Fill in the hole around the tube and then place your torch inside.  You can get the materials necessary to do this at your local hardware or home improvement store.

If you are planning any type of outdoor gathering, you can use tiki patio lights to light the area.  They can even repel bugs such as mosquitoes.  These torches are available with two fuel types, gas and oil.  You can purchase fuel for them at the same location where you bought your torches.  These torches can be fueled by paraffin oil or citronella.  Paraffin oil is also known as kerosene and is admired for its ability to burn for longer periods of time.  Citronella is lightly scented.  Citronella is a citrus-based oil that is specially formulated to repel bugs.  It is also possible for you to use a bit of citronella with your paraffin oil to repel mosquitoes while burning your torches for longer periods of time.

I slept for many years on a mattress that I just could not stand.  It was not lumpy.  It was not too soft.  It was not too hard.  It just was not comfortable.  If I lay in one position for too long of a time, it would hurt my hips, or my arms or my legs, depending on how I was laying.  I tossed and turned all night long and could never find that perfectly comfortable spot.  I never found the right pillow either.  It was either too big, or hurt my neck, or it was not fluffy enough, and I would wind up resting my head on my arm.

Finally Fed Up

Finally, I was fed up reading those memory foam mattress topper reviews you find online about how comfortable other people were and decided to try a memory foam mattress topper double.  I figured I might as well do it right the first time and get the biggest one that they had.  You only go through life once and if you are going to try and sleep a third of it away in bed, you might as well be comfortable, right?  After all, isn’t that why I threw out my used office furniture and purchased all of that new ergonomic furniture?

The Best One Is Mine

As it turns out, it was the best decision I have ever made.  I could lie in any position I wanted to in my memory foam mattress topper for as long as I wanted without becoming uncomfortable.  In fact, I must have the best memory foam mattress topper on the planet because it solved my pillow problems as well.  Apparently it was not the pillows that were the problem after all.  It was the way I lay on the old mattress.  Of course, I still have the mattress under my memory foam mattress topper but it sure does not feel like it.

Try It and See

If you are as uncomfortable as I was, I suggest you try a memory foam mattress topper for yourself.  If it worked for me, it will work for anyone because I am very hard to please and I hate change.  Here is one time I am glad that I did.
